Smiggles links up with San Antonio’s newest alternative/indie group, Throckmorton, at their debut show. Learn how the band came together, what sounds and artists helped shape their identity, and where they see themselves headed in the future.

In their first-ever on-camera interview, Throckmorton shares how it all started. Julian and Eyan met while attending the same middle school and began jamming together. Fast-forward to last year, while brainstorming band names, Julian came up with "Therockmorton Jr.", the "Jr." was later dropped. The duo brings their own backgrounds and influences, ranging from Cuco’s indie-pop to The Beatle's rock ’n’ roll, blending into something uniquely theirs.

Though still early in their journey, the band already has big ideas for what’s next. During the conversation, they open up about their creative goals, what success looks like to them, and how they hope to grow both musically and as part of the San Antonio community.

Their debut set gave the crowd a glimpse of what's to come, a sound that feels familiar yet ambitious, nostalgic yet forward looking. "That shit was so fun. I just love seeing everybody dancing," said Julian, when asked about the energy of the crowd.
